Surfing Surf Beach, Santa Barbara

It may be ironic, but my advice is: don’t surf Surf Beach.  It’s creepy and sharky.  In October 2010, body-boarder and UCSB student Lucas Ransom was killed by a Great White Shark at Surf Beach.  Two years later, in October 2012, Francisco Javier Solorio Jr. was also killed by a Great White Shark.
