Coachella 2017 Parties: Full list of pool parties and after parties

Coachella parties only seem to get bigger and better each year. In fact, for some people, the parties are the main draw of Coachella weekend. In fact, many people that cannot secure a ticket to Coachella opt to spend the weekend in the desert anyway, hopping between pool parties, day parties and after parties.

And even if you were lucky enough to get a Coachella ticket, there is no better way to start the day than at a pool party. Most of the hotels in the Palm Springs area host some sort of pool party, most of which are free for hotel guests, hile other parties charge an admission. See the Coachella party list below for specifics.

Many fashion brands are now throwing their own day events. If you can’t catch a glimpse of any celebrities at Coachella, then you’re sure to see a few at the brand parties.

Most Coachella events are sponsored or hosted by some sort of fashion or music-related brand. Almost all events feature free product giveaways and interactive attractions.

lSome Coachella parties are exclusive, invite-only affairs, while others are open to the public, but you should always RSVP to each event. None of the events are officially affiliated with the festival.

The Coachella parties list will be updated with new parties regularly, so please make sure to check this page often.

After Hours Party: Migration

Who: RSVP only – first come first save bases

What: For the first time ever, Migration LA will be hosting a Coachella after party walking distance with from the polo grounds with the Desert hearts crew and more performances straight from the festival

What: For the first time ever, FYF fest will be hosting a Coachella pre-party at the Palm Springs Air Museum. If you’ve ever been to Splash House, then you know how fun the after hours events are at the Air Museum. The DJ stage is flanked with two massive air force jets and there is plenty of room to move around. We personally believe this will be an event similar to Neon Carnival, but much more authentic, music-centric, and fun! This seems like the perfect event to kick-off the long Coachella party weekend.

Playboy

Who: In partnership, NY Cult, Playboy, Indian Motorcycle and Heineken present a kick-off party to the weekend festivities.

What: For the first time ever, Playboy and Indian Motorcycle present a kick-off party to the highly anticipated music festival in the desert. There will be Playboy bunnies in attendance and special performances by Mary Charteris & Robbie Furze, Alix Brown, Alie Teilz, Wade Crescent and Bex Adams & Henri.

When: Thursday, April 13 at 10pm

Why: To put it simply, the Revolve party is the best Coachella event I’ve been to. I attended last year with a media pass and was blown away by how much money, design and effort was put into the party.

For starters, it was at a beautiful estate complete with a massive pool, blooming desert wildflowers, an artificial lake and massive, lush green lawn. There were several bars (all free!) serving a variety of drinks, including the most refreshing and best-tasting coconut cocktail we’ve ever tried. My girlfriend was ecstatic to get her hair braided (again, all for free) and catch a glimpse of her favorite blogger.

The party was hosted by ASAP Rocky, and unlike other parties were the host is no where to be found, ASAP was walking around the party chatting with everyone.

What was really cool about the Revolve Desert House was that everyone was having fun. At many of the brand-sponsored Coachella events, the attendees seem very stuffy and don’t really let loose (it is supposed to be a party after all!)

But at Revolve, EVERYONE was having a good time… dancing, jumping in the pool, riding the giant slide etc. But it wasn’t Wet Republic douchey, it was cool. Imagine that your friend had a house party, but instead of a house, it was at a massive estate in the desert, and instead of your high school band playing 90s throwback songs, ASAP Rocky was performing. And instead of heading back to your parent’s house when the party gets broken up early by the cops, you leave for Coachella when things wind down.

It really is the best way to start Saturday or Sunday!

ZOEasis Style Retreat

What: Interactive immersive dance party hosted by Robert Fountain International And Lucent Dossier Experience. Lucent Dossier Experience has been a staple on the field at Coachella Music & Arts Festival for the past 11 years, most recently headlining the Sahara tent in 2016 and the Gobi tent in 2015.

This year, the interactive experience comes to TheBank in Palm Springs where the music, performances, singers, and out-of- this-world beings transport guests to new dimensions as they explore the curiosity of worlds between worlds.

What: The infamous Jeremy Scott Coachella after party. You probably already know all about it…

Why: As Neon Carnival has gotten more and more overcrowded, the Hollywood elite have chosen this more intimate setting instead.

Weekend 2: PARTY POP UP @ the ARRIVE HOTEL

What: DEW is taking over the Musicland Hotel in Palm Springs and transforming it into the Label Motel during weekend one of the festival. Inspired by MTN DEW® LABEL SERIES, the brand has added a touch of class to the rooms and experiences, including a live performance by G-EAZY, a DJ set by Virgil Abloh, two-days of epic pool parties, and live art installations.

Basecamp Coachella Party

Who: People that reserve a camp spot on guests during the day. Lot’s of people from the surf/skate/music industry.

What: A giant camping ground with a festive atmosphere, live music, giant pool and bar.

When: Both weekends of Coachella and Stage Coach.

Vestal Village camping party

Who: Invitees with a special code. You’ve got to know someone, or you can politely inquire on the website. It’s mainly surf/skate/music industry-type people.

What: In it’s 8th year, Vestal village is one of the OG Coachella parties. It’s success shouldn’t be surprising; massive pools, campgrounds, extensive amenities, live bands, events and bars galore are a main-stay at every incarnation of Vestal Village. RV or Camp!

When: Thursday April 13th – Monday morning April 17th, 2017.

Why: The party doesn’t stop, you could technically party here all weekend without ever going to the Coachella festival.

What: The Desert Gold Party, this is a classic, I’m sure you’ve heard of it.

Weekend 1: B&O by Bang & Olufsen’s one-of-a-kind pop up shop full of beautiful audio gear and a few special surprises for guests at the Clubhouse. Including limited edition printed scarves by Shane Gonzales of Midnight Studios and Guillermo Andrade of 424 on Fairfax.

Neon Carnival 2017

What: A carnival at an airport with rides, games, table service, dance floor and DJ. Celebrities, influencers, models etc.

Why:  Neon Carnival, the biggest after party of the weekend, returns in 2017 to the Thermal Airport. The name is accurate; it is absolutely a carnival, complete with rides, games, popcorn and stuffed animals.

AMUSE X Prism Desert House

Who: RSVP here please

What: A pool party to kick-off the AMUSE Pop-up shop. Grab some free stuff from Matisse Footwear, Flynn Skye, D’Blanc Eyewear, Five & Two Jewelry and other brands.

Music by DJ Pamela Katz and drinks from Svedka and House Beer. Get a makeover from Pixi Beauty!

When: Pool party: Friday April 14^th 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

What: Winter Bumbleland hosted by the Jenners and sponsored by Bumble. Snow in the desert? Bumble will make it snow in the desert  they “will convert in to a winter wonderland with real ice and snow”

Cheap Coachella Tickets

Rhonda – Queen of the Desert

Who: This after party is open to the public, you just need a ticket!

What: European DJs Dixon and Solomun hosted by Goldenvoice, Sound Night Club Framework and A Club Called Rhonda

When: Friday night April 14^th, 2017. The hours have not been released yet but we can assume it goes LATE!

Where: Palm Springs Air Museum, 745 N. Gene Autry Trail, Palm Springs

Why: Both Solomun and Dixon are widely considered the top deep house DJs in the world, in fact, Dixon was recently ranked the #1 DJ in the world by Resident Advisor. I saw Dixon perform at City Fox in Downtown Los Angeles last summer and it was an incredible, European-styled show, something not often found on the West Coast. This is a unique opportunity to catch top talent. Also, the Palm Springs Air Museum is an incredible venue, and this is one of the few Coachella parties open to the public (with a ticket that is!)

Desert Gold @ Ace Hotel Coachella Party

Who: Guests of the Ace Hotel and those that RSVP, which is first come first serve!

What: It’s all about the music and art! Guests can expect visuals by Modern Construct and a mural by local artists Lily and Hopie Stockman. There are events the entire two weeks of Coachella, so please go here to see the full program. Sound waves will be curated by London-based radio platform NTS Radio… music by: Sadgirl, No Parents, Melted, Bronzer and more.

Where: The Ace Hotel, 701 E Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs, CA 92264

Why: Desert Gold is one of the original Coachella weekend pool parties (this is its 9^th year!) and takes place at the iconic Ace Hotel, a Palm Springs landmark. Unlike other events during the weekend, Desert Gold puts good music and art first… before brand sponsorships, corny celebrity appearances and social media influencers… in short; this is a real pool party with a great vibe.

Also you’ll be helping the local community, this year, the Ace is donating proceeds from two of their drink items to the Old Town Artisan Studio in La Quinta, which serves adults and youth from throughout the entire Coachella Valley with arts education and instruction in areas like clay, fused glass and other mediums. So make sure to purchase a Piña Colada or Watermelon Margarita!

Saguaro – Coachella weekend events

Who: Guests of the Saguaro Hotel and those with tickets ($25). Tickets can be purchased here.

What: Pool party and brunch, daybed rentals. Music by Gina Calderoni, Henry Pope. Loboman, Marlon Fuentes, Massio, SABIO, Jeremy Sole (KCRW/ Worldwide FM), Dr. Fresch, Hotel Garuda, Point Point, Modern Disco Ambassadors, Audiostache, Daniel Minaya, Mogli, Torosbroos, VNSSA and Wet Hand Dan.

When: First weekend, 11:00am to Sundown each day, Friday April 14^th – April 16^th

Where: The Saguaro Hotel, 1800 E Palm Canyon Dr. Palm Springs, CA 92264

Why: If you haven’t stayed or partied at the Saguaro, then you’ve been missing one of the coolest venues in the Coachella Valley. Every June and August, the Saguaro hosts Splash House, which has developed into one of the best festivals in the Southern California circuit. Splash House wouldn’t be what it is today without the Saguaro.

Almost every room has a view of the pool, thus the balconies are just as social as the pool deck. The vibrant blue, red and yellow colors make this one of the most iconic hotels in the California desert. In short, it seems like the Saguaro was purpose built for pleasure and pool parties. This is the perfect place to pregame before heading out to Polo Fields for the festival.

Pandora Indio Invasion

Who: Anyone that RSVPs! Link below. 21+

What: Pool party at a private estate

When: Saturday April 15th, 1:00 – 4:00pm

Where: 67698 Carey Road , Cathedral City, CA 92234

Why: Cool down at the pool on your way to the festival. The Cree Estate is a beautiful historic home in Cathedral City, in between Palm Springs and Coachella. Day Club Palm Springs

Who: Open to the public, get your tickets in the link below. 21+

What: Las Vegas-style pool party. Big production with big names: Nicky Romero, Skrillex, Dillon Francis, Madeon and Mad Decent. (Expect a Diplo + Skrillex appearance).

When: Both weekends of Coachella, all days!

Where: Palm Springs Hilton, 400 E Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262

Why: With Heineken, Dole, Sound and Goldenvoice (Coachella promoters) hosting, this is bound to be a big party. In fact, if you weren’t able to buy a Coachella ticket, then Palm Springs Day Club could be an alternative event for the weekend. Or if you do have a Coachella ticket but find the festival too hot in the day-time, consider starting each day at the Hilton.
