Camping at Coachella has never been easy. The desert heat, the dust, the noise and nosey neighbors can make camping an experience from hell. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve camped at Coachella for many years and loved every minute of it! But as I get older, I’m looking for a more refined experience. That’s why I was excited to see Marriott’s new luxury yurts in the Safari Campgrounds.
Marriott Rewards and SPG are allowing members the opportunity to bid for the chance to stay in one of three designer yurts on Coachella’s VIP Safari campgrounds, modeled to look like W Hotels from around the world, (Bali, Hollywood and Barcelona). The three beautifully designed yurts are made to resemble these W Hotel properties. These specially designed Yurts have Sound Suites, reinforcing W’s commitment and dedication to music.
A fourth tent will be reserved specifically for media during weekend one, designed to look like the upcoming W Hotel in Dubai, The Palm, that is set to open summer of 2018 and will be the first W Escape in the Middle East.
W Village Experience
The W Village experience at Coachella is an unrivaled, all-inclusive oasis within the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. Located among the lush palm trees and surrounded by spectacular mountain views, our guests experience a quiet refuge inside their very own lavish Yurt. This unique space features four air-conditioned modern Yurts that provide a spacious, luxurious get away. Each Yurt is furnished with a king size bed and sitting area that encompasses the look and feel of a room at a W hotel. Guests are offered an array of W Hotel standard amenities and festival indulgences including a refrigerator personally stocked with their favorite snacks and beverages, maid turndown service, personal concierge, private bathroom and shower for each Yurt, access to the Safari Lounge and dedicated shuttles to take guests to and from the concert venue.

Marriot Loyalty Tent
All Coachella festival goers, whether or not you are a Marriott Rewards or SPG member, are invited to the Loyalty Tent located in the general admission area. This tent is a members retreat that is all about relaxing, refreshing and recharging.
Marriott Rewards Members SPG Members are allowed deeper into the tent to experience even more exclusive amenities including: free wifi, frozen treats and relaxing seating.
Elite Members get: above mentioned offerings + gift or ferris wheel vouchers, even more relaxing seating, additional refreshments such as fruit infused water and power snacks, chilled jade rollers to de-puff and refresh skin, and rose water face mists to cool and hydrate skin!
All are invited to the tent lobby to the charging area, but only members are allowed deeper into the tent to experience even more amenities. Nonmembers can join on site to gain access.
